The Crown Inn is a traditional freehold country pub in the Polden village of Catcott, just off the A39 between the popular towns of Bridgwater and Glastonbury.

Our idyllic pub is over 400 years old and has the warmth and character so many pubs have lost over the years retaining the wonderful open log fire (great on a chilly night), original flagstone floors, cob walls and low beamed ceilings. Perfectly accompanying by our fantastic selection of cask ales, wines and ciders served to perfection.

We may be well known for creative home cooked food but we always have a busy pub full of our local villagers popping in for a pint and chat

“Exuding charm, character and popular with locals and visitors alike, it’s little surprise that The Crown Inn, between the towns of Bridgwater and Street, is so popular. You’re certain of a warm welcome at the Inn, whether you fancy a pint from a selection of well-kept cask ales or a sit-down meal....”

Awesome food, lovely old quirky pub with amazing log fire, warm welcoming and clean and comfortable ticks all the right boxes

Now this is a place you should go and visit! This place does not get enough praise for what it is. Besides from the cosy atmosphere and great selection of ales you are  able to get a fantastic meal for a great price. The meat was tender, the fries were fresh and the pints were cold. If you are around, try the today's specials. They are called specials for a reason! Dogs are welcome and there is a big free parking lot next to it.

Catcott Rocks was a huge success raising in total £4,127.78 for in Charleys Memory.

Charley struggled with his mental health throughout his adolescence and in 2014 it all became too much and Charley took his own life. After Charley’s death his mum wanted to do something to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that is attached to mental health. So she founded In Charley’s Memory, known locally as ICM. Charley’s friends and family began raising money and supporting young people. In Charley’s Memory received official charity status in March 2015 (registration number 1160805)
